We want you to feel connected at Trinity Church. As you get to know the people and the staff at our church, many parishioners find their place to serve the Lord, where they can make a positive difference in the lives of others. There are opportunities to serve. Please contact our church office for additional information. Described below are many of the areas in which you can participate.
Acolytes play a vital role in assisting during liturgical services. They help to enhance the worship experience by assisting the Rector in their sacred duties. They participate by carrying the Cross, lighting Candles, and infusing the service with incense by handling the censor.
Our Altar Guild consists of a group of dedicated volunteers who devote time and talents to preparing and maintaining the altar, sanctuary, and sacred vessels for worship services. Their duties include ensuring the altar is properly set for services, caring for linens and vestments, preparing communion elements, and decorating the sanctuary.
The flowers and candle dedications are given each week by a member of the congregation in honor, or in memory of, a special occasion or loved one. We are grateful that you allow us to grieve, remember, and celebrate with you.
Members of the parish serve the church as Lay Readers in the reading of the lessons each Sunday and in speaking the Prayers of the People. Those licensed by the Bishop may also serve as Lay Eucharistic Ministers, assisting the priest with the chalice during weekly communion. Please contact our Eucharistic Minister Coordinator, Stan Knick, if you are interested in serving in either role.
After our 10 am service, please join your fellow parishioners for Sunday Morning Coffee. There you can enjoy refreshments and fellowship. Each week, a volunteer hostess will bring culinary variety to this engaging time.
Our Church Choir meets each Wednesday for rehearsal at 7 pm from September through May. They sing each Sunday at the 10:00 am Holy Eucharist, and at all special services throughout the church year. Our Organist and Choirmaster, Dr. Mark Andersen, is always pleased to receive inquiries about membership in the choir. Please email him or write to him in care of Trinity Church.
At Trinity Episcopal Church, Pastoral Care extends to our entire community. Home visits, phone calls, well-wishing cards, or emails are just some of the ways we maintain contact with those who may be ill or feel socially isolated. It is our joyful responsibility to visit the sick, bring the sacrament of Communion to the homebound, act on prayer requests, provide meals and transportation as needed, so all our members feel included and cared for in Our Lord's love. We believe it is essential to maintain communication as our members' lives evolve.
Join us on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm to enjoy our Wine and Cheese evening, hosted at the home of different parishioners throughout the year. Check the Upcoming Events section for additional details.
Trinity Episcopal Church offers opportunities to expand your knowledge and understanding of your faith through Bible study, Advent and Lenten seasonal programs, and concerts.
Stewardship is about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God. The Episcopal Church views stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents, and volunteering for ministry and mission. It’s about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity. Here at Trinity, our faith community strives to reach these goals of responsible stewardship daily with financial gifts as well as the donation of time and talent. Please contact the church office for more information on how you can make a difference.
The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the entire church. Through UTO, individuals are invited to embrace and deepen a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude. UTO encourages people to notice the good things that happen each day, give thanks to God for those blessings, and make an offering for each blessing using a UTO Blue Box. UTO is entrusted to receive the offerings and to distribute 100% of what is collected to support innovative mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.
